General information and rules
- Please be respectful with other guests, staff and our neighbours. Bear in mind that if you are in a shared dormitory, others might not have the same schedule as you and therefore could be sleeping early at night or late in the morning. Keep quiet in the dorms and keep your things tidy, place valuables in lockers and larger backpacks and suitcases under your bunk bed. Avoid switching on the lights in the room between 11pm and 8am if someone is sleeping – use your phone torch instead.
- It is forbidden to eat and drink alcohol in the dorms.
- If you show aggressive or disrespectful behaviour, we will ask you to leave the Hostel. The cost of your stay may not be refunded.
- Quiet hours in the Hostel are between 11pm and 8am. During these hours, please avoid hanging out in the patio, playing music and speaking loudly in the common areas and rooftop terraces.
- Our kitchen and common area are open from 7am to 1am. Our Orange Terrace is open from 9am to midnight and our Palm Trees terrace from 7am to 11pm.
- Check-in is from 15:00. Reception is open from 9:00 to 21:00 every day, as is our co-working space. If you think you’ll arrive after 21:00, please contact us via whatsapp or email so that around 20:00 of your arrival day we can send you the self check-in instructions.
- You can come to El Granado from 9:00 to leave your bag and chill-out in our common areas, we’ll give you the key at 15:00 latest.
- Check-out is from 8:00 to 11:00 (early check-out is possible)..
- No pre-payments when booking on our website (see exceptions in Payment and Cancellation Policy).
- You may cancel your booking free of charge up to 24 hours before 15:00 on the day of arrival (see exceptions in Payment and Cancellation Policy).
- El Granado Hostel is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen personal items
- Non-smoking policy in all rooms and common areas except for the rooftop terrace – fine if you are caught smoking or there are clear signs of it: €50.
- Pets are only allowed in our private rooms, not in shared dormitories.
- Teenagers below 16 years old can only stay if accompanied by an adult.
- Lost key fee: €5.
Payment and Cancellation Policy
There are no pre-payments when you book directly on our website, by phone or email, except for NON-REFUNDABLE, on EVENT DAYS*, for groups of more than 6 people** and for large bookings***. Pre-payments and booking fees may apply when booking through third-party websites.
If there is any error or change to the booking, please let us know as soon as possible. You may cancel your booking without any extra charge until 24 hours prior to your arrival, EXCEPT ON EVENT DAYS*, for groups of more than 6 people** and for large bookings***. If your stay is cancelled less than 24 hours before check-in time (15:00) on the day of your arrival or in case of “no show”, the cost of your first night’s stay will be charged (again, this policy is different on event days*, for groups** and large bookings***).

On the following days, we charge 50% of the booking total upon reservation and the remaining 50% 14 days before arrival. Both payments are non-refundable in case of cancellation.

From 24th to 31st March 2024 – Semana Santa (Holy week)
From 30th of April to 4th May 2024 – Labour Day and Día de la Cruz
From 13th to 14th September 2024 – Granada Sound Festival
From 11th to 12th October 2024 – Día de Hispanidad
From 6th to 9th of December 2024 – Día de la Constitución e Inmaculada Concepción
From 30th December 2024 to 1st January 2025 – New Year

For these kind of bookings, we charge 50% upon reservation and the remaining 50% 14 days before arrival. Both payments are non-refundable in case of cancellation.
Health and Safety
All the facilities or services of our Hostel are equipped with measures that favor or guarantee your safety at all times. However, if you feel that the use of any facility or service may pose any risk to your health or physical integrity, we urge you to contact us so that we can inform you and dispel any questions you may have in this regard. In any case, if you have any doubts that the use of any facility or service may pose a risk to your health or physical integrity, please opt for another service or facility.
The client has at his disposal indications of action in case of emergency, as well as signaling of the evacuation routes and means against fire. In the event of an emergency, he/she shall follow the additional instructions given by the Hostel staff. The obstruction of emergency exits and fire extinguishers (fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, push buttons…) as well as its improper use, may result in expulsion from the Hostel.
