Welcome to El Granado, Your Hostel in Granada
Tucked away in a historic building in the center of Granada, El Granado Hostel is a friendly hostel that’s all about relaxed social vibes, good conversations and new friends. We organize regular family dinners, cave-house dinners with city&sunset views, hikes, walking tours, yoga on the roofop and more activities. We have a spacious rooftop area with a kitchen and two sunny terraces for sitting back, chilling, swapping travel stories, enjoying some music and sipping on a beer or sangría.
We want you to feel at home with us, while living an authentic Granadian experience. Roberto, Hamza, Hadrien, Charlotte, Eli and Pepi will make you feel welcome and comfortable from the moment you step in the hostel. Not just because it’s our job, but because that’s how we are – welcoming at heart :) We can’t wait to see you, chat with you and tell you all about our beloved Granada. Hasta pronto!
How to get to El Granado
We are located on Calle Conde de Tendillas 7, in the Gran Capitan/Facultad de Derecho area of the city centre.
There is a bus stop just in front of the bus station exit. Catch bus nº33 from there and hop off at Triunfo or Catedral stops (it’s a 20-minute ride approximately). It’s a 10-minute walk from either stop to El Granado. We recommend the walk from the Cathedral stop as it is more scenic and we want you to have a great first impression of Granada!
It is a 40-minute walk from the bus station to the hostel and a taxi will cost €8-10.

Take the airport bus to the city center (€3.50, pay on the bus) and get off at Triunfo or Catedral stops. It is a 10-minute walk from either stop to El Granado. We recommend the walk from the Cathedral as it is more scenic and we want you to have a great first impression of Granada!
A taxi from the airport will cost €22-28.

From the train station, a taxi will cost around €6 for the 10-minute ride. You can also walk from there as it only takes about 15 minutes:
If you decide to catch the Metro (for example, if you were dropped off close to a Metro stop by your Blablacar driver), the nearest Metro stop is Universidad. It is a short walk from this stop to the hostel:

Approximate taxi journey times and cost:
– From the bus station: 20 minutes, €8-10
– From the train station: 10 minutes, €5-8

There are 2 underground car parks nearby: Parking San Juan de Díos and Parking Hermanos Maristas. They are both 2-3 minutes walk from the hostel and cost €17-€18 per day. If you are looking for free street parking (white lines), take a look around Calle Arabial area, near the Mendez Nuñez highway exit. It is a 15-20 minutes walk from that area to the hostel.
We advise travelers coming by car to enter Granada from exit 128 – Mendez Nuñez of highway A-44. Then drive towards the city center, passing Plaza Albert Einstein and Hotel Granada Center on your right-hand side. When the road makes a “Y”, turn right into Calle Rector Lopez Argueta. 200 meters down this road on the right is the entrance to Parking San Juan de Dios.
